New Year, New Camera.
I took the Sony PXW FS7 out for a test run, moving on from the Canon C100 Mark II to something with a much more durable and stronger codec. I was blown away by the quality straight out of the box. This film was shot entirely in XACV-L in Slog2 in its CineEI mode giving me nearly 15 stops of dynamic range. I found it was quite difficult to expose for compared to other typical log cameraβs that I have worked with and I had to be mindful that I exposed well in the shadows for the best results, overall I was happy with my first test of the Super35 camera and looking forward to using it in a commercial environment.
