Top 5 Video Accessories to take on a shoot
A lot of us get a kick out of being organised and in many aspects of our lives it keeps us on the right track and is a serious motivator to get things done. I am one of those people in both life and work, but more on work…whilst working for yourself has it perks it’s not always easy to keep track of everything, especially when it’s just you steering the ship which is why lists are important. Whilst prepping for a shoot, I always ask myself do I have all the kit I need for this job? but keeping this all in your head isn’t always the best idea so I would recommend writing a kit checklist ahead of time as this could save you a headache later on.
Once you have written a list you’ll find that you can keep adding to it as you accumulate more gear, by keeping a copy of your list in your bag, this will help you stay organised as the it will be a reminder that you not only have your primary equipment, like cameras, lenses, sound equipment etc, but you have those small things that you could forget, the last thing you want is turning up to a shoot and discovering you haven’t got that one piece of equipment that you so desperately need to get that creative shot you had planned, (believe me I have been there) read my blog about prepping for a shoot for more on this.
Anyway, the point is… all this list making and checking gear got me thinking of the accessories that I own that I want to share my thoughts on as well where you can pick them up as I feel they will be a great addition to your kit bag by enhancing your productivity or creativity on location, check them out below.
